Profile

Kitty is a BCS Fellow and Chartered IT Professional (CITP). Kitty gained her PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Sheffield, UK in 1999. She has over 20 years of experience as a Business and System Analyst, Project Manager and Emerging Technologist. Her career has been built in Central Government and FTSE 250 plc. for over two decades. Kitty brings a blend of professional experience, creativity, innovative mindset, customer focus, digital transformation, consultancy and vendor management experience as well as legislation and regulatory compliance experience to Atkins.

Experience with Atkins (February 2021 – Present)

Principal Consultant:

Feb to April 2021 – assigned to the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) business transformation programme in organisational, processes and technological improvement from February . Kitty’s main remit is to generate the business requirements (in the form of Agile User Stories), produce Business Process Maps and Customer Journey maps to help customer achieve their business goals and objectives.

May 2021 to Present – assigned to 3 Heathrow Airport projects: (1) Direct Access VPN Replacement, (2) Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) replacement, (3) Common Use Self Service Check-in Kiosks Replacement. Kitty is to work closely with the business stakeholders in producing the business requirements documents as well as the technical solution teams to ensure the solutions are aligned to the business goals and strategy.

March 2022 to Present – assigned to MoD’s Cyber Security Operation Capability (CSOC) project

Experience with Raytheon UK (July 2019 – January 2021)

Lead Business Analyst: Kitty helped build and develop the Digital’s BA team in the Cyber Intelligence Digital practice within Raytheon UK responsible for analysing complex problems, identifying defence customers’ most pressing digital related challenges particularly cyber security, data science / analytics, GDPR and present ways to solve them. Kitty helped the business development team in bidding for new business and has gained significant experience in RFI, PQQ, RFP, Contract Award and solution implementation.

Experience with Capita plc (June 2017 – July 2019)

Business Analyst: Kitty worked as an Agile Business Analyst in one of the UK’s biggest secure network infrastructure for Smart Metering worth over £1 Billion. Kitty managed stakeholders, gathered requirements, worked closely with customers and solution providers. Due the multiple delivery partners’ environment, Kitty has gained significant experience in vendor management covering the end-to-end project lifecycle from RFI, PQQ, RFP, Bidder Selection, Contract Award, Solution Implementation, Testing, Service Transition to In-Life Support.

Experience with London Metropolitan Police (January 2002 – July 2017)

Senior Business Analyst: Kitty started at the Met Police as the Lead Business Analyst in the Justice for London Programme – an initiative to improve the Criminal Justice process between the Met and the Crown Prosecution Service. Kitty was then seconded to the ACPO TAMS’ Special Branch (National Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters) as the Senior Technologist working on counter terrorism and national security programmes. After her secondment, Kitty joined the Olympic Safety & Security Team in 2009 for the preparation of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics until September 2012. After that, she worked in the Met Transformation programme which involved the desktop migration to thin client, mobile devices for police officers, body worn camera, digital asset management system (DAMS), SARA Problem Solving, Analytics and Reporting, Safer Transport Police Dashboard Camera, Catering Outsourcing, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) database. Between 2006 and 2017 while Kitty was a Police Officer (Special Constable) with the Met, she assisted the Cyber Crime Unit in cybercrime investigations on numerous occasions using her technical expertise.

Experience with London Business School & University of Sheffield (March 1999 – December 2001)

Business Analyst: As a Post-doctoral Research Fellow, Kitty helped the research teams win research grants from European Commission’s Technology and Innovation Research Grant and commercial sponsors such as Lucent Technology and Cisco and she conducted research on the mobile communication technology.
